About
DJ Roach has been on the Fallout Shelter bill for 1 night since September 2023. Their first Fallout night was September 15, 2023 at 2 West Ypsi. Counting Krystal Palace and related nights, that's 2 nights on record.
Their sound is described as techno, Detroit techno and electro.
DJ Roach founded Tec-Troit, a free Detroit techno festival that began in 2011 in Harmonie Park. They founded the record label Nuestro Futuro.
DJ Roach's sets center on techno and Detroit music tied to Underground Resistance, which DJ Roach credits with encouraging the label. In June 2024 DJ Roach was a guest on Waajeed's show The Boulevard on WDET 101.9 FM ahead of Tec-Troit weekend.
DJ Roach has played since 1987 and is known for vinyl-only sets that blend Detroit techno with Latin freestyle. DJ Roach also launched the Detroit JIT Festival in 2022.
